Trust Builds, Human Architecture (2021)
With the common phrase “building relationships,” I noticed the connection between two mimicking structures. Either the foundation of trust is strong or the relationship will collapse. I have found that the miracle is for architecture and relationships to stand the test of time. Will they give way to slow destruction, become abandoned, or be replaced with something new? The forms within the series show the nature of maintaining relationships through adapting to changes within the dynamic. At times one may need to carry the load until the other is able to support the bond again. This often means that the weight is distributed equally or unequally at times making the link vulnerable. The poses show the organic reliance people have upon each other and the trust required to allow oneself to depend on another person.
